The sixth man to be charged with murder after a mass armed brawl in Mitcham, which left one man dead and two others in hospital, will appear at the Old Bailey on Monday.

Jerome Anton Jeyakumar, 23, of Framfield Road, Mitcham, was charged with murder and violent disorder on Wednesday, February 10, and appeared the next day at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court. 

He was remanded in custody until his appearance on Monday.

Neel Croos, 26, suffered extensive head injuries after the fight in Sibthorpe car park in Holborn Way on November 23, and died two days later in hospital. 

A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were also hospitalised after the fight, which is believed to have involved axes, swords and machetes. 

Four of the five other men charged with the murder of Mr Croos will appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, February 17.

A trial is scheduled to take place at the same court on May 23. 

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, February 9, on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. He has been bailed until April.

Five other men, aged  between 27 and 34, who were arrested in connection with the murder and armed brawl have been released with no further action.
