Epsom athletics and Team GB star Shona Richards was on hand at the home of Epsom & Ewell Harriers on Monday to launch the new Epsom Athletics Academy.
Fresh from her two silver medals at the World Junior Championships, and a new national record in the 400m hurdles, Richards was invited by academy head coach Paul Andrews, whom she has known since her early athletic days as an U11 at Epsom & Ewell Harriers.
Andres said: "I really wanted to get the most inspiring and knowledgeable people I could to help motivate the children and launch the new academy.
"I was amazed when Shona said she would love to come back and help coach."
He added: "I was further delighted to add another Epsom & Ewell star athlete, Diana Norman, to the coaching team.
"Diana received her first international vest to represent Great Britain in the heptathlon in 1992 and in 2012 she broke the over-35 British indoor pentathlon record, which she still holds."
Also assisting the trio will be county sprinter Iwan Fesnoux.
