Lyle Taylor may have scored the goal that sent AFC Wimbledon to Wembley, but he lavished all the praise on his strike partner Adebayo Akinfenwa.
The striker’s 22nd goal of the season was secured a 2-2 draw at Accrington Stanley, sending the Dons down Wembley Way on the back of a 3-2 aggregate scoreline.
He said: “That has to be the most important goal I have scored this season, but it is not just about me it is about the team.

“The goal Bayo scored was equally as important. He has been brilliant for me, if only people knew what he has done for me behind the scenes this year, you would understand.”
He added: “I cannot put into words what it means to go to Wembley, but if you look at the fans you can see how much it means to them.
“We’re doing it for them, it is the dream for the club and we’ve got there.”
